In which:
-Heiji escapes the bus with Rinali after some arguing.
-They find Allen, and are attacked by an Aquilla. Allen is injured and Rinali gets Allen out of the battlefield. Heiji manages to fight the monster off, but he's injured.
-Guy finds Heiji and the two team up to get back to the patient blocks.
-As they're moving, Heiji and Guy come across the Empty Child. Heiji is severely injured when he pats the kid's head, but Guy manages to drag him to safety before the night ends.
Determined to enjoy himself, Heiji shamelessly flirts with the employee at the toy store in order to get information. Sadly, the girl isn't very up-to-date on current events. Instead, he distracts her to the point where Okita can steal some candy. He meets the swordsman outside, and the two move to the park to have their sparring match. At the end, nurses and orderlies find them and sedate Okita. Heiji tries to make a break for it, but gets a needle in the neck. The two are separated, laughing their heads off.
Heiji meets Rinali on the bus and chats her up.
In which:
-Heiji meets up with Bella and Edward. The three decide that Edward needs a weapon, so they make their way to the bathrooms.
-Bella nearly vomits at the sight of the bloody bathroom, so she waits outside as Heiji and Edward get the vampire a pipe.
-The three make their way up to the second floor and raid the Janitor's Closet.
Bella humors him to a nice lunch conversation--which slowly ends when Edward comes to join them. The three make plans to arm themselves that night.
Heiji meets 'Ryuga' (L) and Hughes in the Library and has a friendly chat with them both.
After a confusing day, Heiji meets his roommate, Steve.
I'm not crazy. That's for sure.
Right now, I'm in some place called "Landel's Institute" in New Jersey. How the hell I got to America when I was just in Tokyo yesterday is anybody's guess, really. At first I thought this place was a hospital, but that gunshot wound from that Reiko woman was gone! I just don't understand it. I was fine when I went to bed at Kudo's place. And the shrimp couldn't have put me on a plane without me knowing. Unless he tranq'ed me several times. And I would DEFINITELY have felt that in the morning.
Anyway, so far I haven't seen Kudo or anyone else I recognize here, so this can't have anything to do with that Ahou-Toxin or whatever the heck it is. I'm just the Great Detective of the West. If they took me, they really ARE as stupid as their drug's name is!
But I can't rule out the possibility that I've been taken by that Black Organization-whatsis to lure Kudo here. In which case, I'll just have to solve the mystery of this place before he can! It'll be simple!
At least, it better be. I have better things to do than sit around and play shrink. My parents must be really, really upset. And what if the police need me? And who's going to look after that idiot Kazuha if I'm stuck in New Jersey? I really hope I didn't have to meet her somewhere… she's going to be SO mad if I stand her up again.
But then again… New Jersey. I mean, come on. Even SHE can't blame me for this one.
...Harley Hartwell…? Are they SERIOUS???
